Happy Birthday!

This is a card I did awhile back. It's very hard for me to do masculine cards. I saw this design on Splitcoast and copied. It's very simple for men...nothing frilly. I cannot remember the word set I used for this. I know that it was a hostess set...I just don't remember when.

Thanks for stopping by!

Another Butterfly

Here is another butterfly card. Again, this is a stamp set that didn't appeal to me until I saw samples using it. I don't remember the stamp set name but I do believe it was a hostess set. I also used All Holidays from the current catalog for the greeting.

I used Sky Blue, Certainly Celery, Pretty in Pink, Black and Whisper White cardstock. For the inks, I used Sky Blue, Certainly Celery and Black. I used black brads from the vintage brads and black gingham.

This uses some colors I wouldn't normally think would go together but I like how this came out.

Celebrate!

Have you ever made up a card that was so pretty you didn't want to give it away? If so, this is one of those type of cards. I love, love, love this card!!

I wish I could take credit for the design but I can't. I totally stole the idea from Debbie Seyer. She does some great work. You should check out her website! I basically copied the design with the exception of the ribbon. Her design used the double-stitched River Rock ribbon. I didn't have any of that so I substituted with the vanilla taffeta.

Happy stamping, and have a great weekend!

Stamp Sets: So Many Scallops (SAB), Celebrate Everything
Cardstock: River Rock, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla
Ink: Regal Rose, Ruby Red, Groovy Guava
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, Versamark, Horizontal Slot Punch, Very Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Ginger Blossom DSP

Butterfly Anyone?

Ever look at a stamp set in the catalog that doesn't appeal to you? That is until you see samples using the set and it actually looks pretty good. This is one of those sets. It was a hostess set and I don't remember which catalog it came out of.

This was a fun card to make and very simple. I don't remember the stamp name but I used So Saffron, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock and Chocolate Chip ink. I tore a piece off the bottom on the front of the card and sponged it with Chocolate Chip ink.

Card Share

I had a fantastic time at the retreat. I didn't get a whole lot accomplished but it sure was great to get away from work. I left Thursday night and returned Sunday afternoon. Oh how I wish it could have been longer.

I promised to share some of the things I made. I'm just sorry it's a week late. I actually have a few things to share in the coming days. I have my technique class cards from last month and this month to share. So, hopefully, my boss will cooperate and let me share. (just kidding!)

Here is one of the cards I did at the retreat. This uses one of the sets that was sent to us as a gift. I believe it is a Level 3 hostess set. I love the colors used on it. This uses Wild Wasabi, Pretty in Pink, Black and Whisper White cardstock and markers. I also played with my rhinestone brads. I used my blender pens for the Wasabi coloring.

Come back tomorrow!!! I'll share some of the techniques we did last month.
